I hope this is the right place to post.
I have 2.0.0.2.2 and have used Thunderbird without problems until now. Suddenly it times out and doesn't retrieve the mail. I've looked at the tech advice and it's too complicated for me. I haven't written a batch file since dos days. So if there's no easy solution, I'm thinking of uninstalling and reinstalling. In that event, will the uninstall be complete? If not, that could be a waste of time too.

I'm seriously going to have to post more here. This site rocks! Suj
It's very hard to guess what
It's very hard to guess what the problem could be, it could be many things including network connection problems, which might even be temporary, or your mail server might be slow at the moment. I don't think reinstalling would help, and I don't see why you should write batch files either. But anyways, as you suspected, this is not really the right place to pose such questions as this site is geared to promotion and marketing activities.
